Rap-Up.com || Brandy Joins ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Brandy has torn up the Billboard charts and now she’s setting out to tear up the dance floor. The platinum-selling R&B singer has joined the new cast of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The star of VH1′s “Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business” rounds out a diverse cast for the hit show’s 11th season, which includes singer Michael Bolton, comedienne Margaret Cho, NBA champion Rick Fox, Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey, “Baywatch’s” David Hasselhoff, “Brady Bunch” matriarch Florence Henderson, Disney Channel star Kyle Massey, Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin, “The Hills” star Audrina Patridge, “Jersey Shore’s” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner.

Past music stars that have competed on the show include Mario, Mya, Lil’ Kim, Toni Braxton, Mel B, Master P, and last year’s winner Nicole Scherzinger.

All 12 couples will dance for the first time on live national television during the two-hour season premiere on Monday, September 20, at 8 p.m. on ABC.

In addition to practicing her dance steps, Brandy is recording a new album set for release in 2011 and will perform with her brother Ray J at the BMI Urban Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 10.

The difference between Brandy and most of the other people that appear on this show is that she has real TALENT. Brandy has always received tons of praise from the industry as one of the best vocalists there is! She is going to be on top of the charts again, and this is only going to help get her name out there again! She is doing this for fun not money. Brandy is rich already

Brandy is one of the most interesting voice of all time, she can t hit all kind of styles from pop to basic Soul and can still be impressive. Her background vocals are simply amazing on each album. She s fully blessed with talent and originality. She s as powerful as sweet. Can t wait the next album. Tired of funny singers with no talent but with a good stylist.

She is only 31 how is she a hasbeen? she is still working and recording music.
Not everyone who does this show is hasbeens. The sad thing about that is, It’s only the black people who think like that, White people love the show because its entertaining they don’t care if these people are has beens or not, Black people are really embarrassing to continue to put down your own people just off your own stereo type of who had a career or not, Fact remains these people have done more in there life then we may EVER do in ours, and will be remembered for there work.
So stop calling these people has beens, they worked hard to get where they are, or as far as they have gotten. Will you?
Who said you had to be a DANCE to be on this show? Thats the damn point. Its a challenge!
Go had Brandy do your thang girl, pay no mind to these haters. They can never do what you have done in your career. All they can do is sit back and critique everything you do or don’t do.

Just like u, I’m really rooting for brandy to come with it..all this promotion she doing she has to come with…don’t try to be come w/ “todays music” be Brandy and I guarantee it will sell.Look @ monica…he was concerned wit be Up to par on todays music, she was just herself and it paid off. However, I do believe that she should leave that Brand-Nu stuff as a hobby tho cuz I think it would be a flop..and look for timbo for the beats as opposed to Jerkins..imo :-D
