« Black Eyed Peas Talk Super Bowl: ‘We Thought Oprah Was Big’Sneak Peek: Kanye West f/ Rick Ross, Jay-Z, & Nicki Minaj – ‘Monster’ »J. Cole Sees Grammy in His Future![]() While J. Cole missed out on this year’s Grammy nominations, he hopes to hear his name called at next year’s ceremony. The rising Roc Nation star has just the song that may win him a golden gramophone.
“I have an incredible song that I hope wins a Grammy,” the North Carolina MC excitedly tells Rap-Up.com of the undisclosed Danjahandz production. “I pray to God. It’s such an incredible song. I love it.” Cole enjoys the track so much that he can’t even believe he wrote it. “It’s a really J. Cole song, but in single form, big radio form, but still emotional, really deep, thought-provoking type of song,” he shares. “It’s still commercially acceptable with a really super duper hook that sometimes I can’t believe I wrote like, ‘Man, how did this hook come to me?’” He even has someone ready to jump on the record. “I wanna get somebody on the hook in particular and I just spoke with that person too, so we’re gonna make that happen.” Cole’s as-yet-untitled debut is tentatively due in March. His mixtape Friday Nights Lights is available now. TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 16 CommentsLeave a Reply
