Rap-Up.com || Nicole Scherzinger Replaces Cheryl Cole as ‘X Factor’ Judge

Nicole Scherzinger has moved from hosting duties to the judges’ panel. In a surprise announcement, the former Pussycat Doll has replaced Cheryl Cole as a judge on Fox’s upcoming show “The X Factor.”

TMZ reports that the British singer will no longer be a judge on Simon Cowell’s singing competition this fall, and Nicole will take over her duties.

It’s currently unclear why Cole left, but the shift only recently happened. Taping on the show began earlier this month with Nicole as co-host alongside Steve Jones. She will now join Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and L.A. Reid on the judges’ panel.

Nicole previously told Rap-Up.com that there were discussions to have her judge, but she felt more comfortable hosting. “There were talks going back and forth, but—I’m actually happy they asked me to host because for me, the reason I’m doing it is because this is what I love and this is what I know and this is what I’m passionate about,” she said.

I really hope this isn’t true for Cheryl’s sake. After all the will she, won’t she, Cheryl was finally confirmed as a judge and now she’s out? I was so looking forward to watching the X Factor only because Cheryl was going to be on it. Well done Fox, well done.

Well at least all the judges are now credible in the music industry; Nicole just make sense to judge in the US. The UK might love of Cheryl but I think she’s talentless & the US know it so they had to replace her to make it more appealing. Go Nicole.

This is kind of cruel and heartless.
Iam not a cheryl fan and i hate the hype around her but i don’t find joy around somebody getting fired like this. To build someone up for MONTHS then give them the job then decided it isn’t a great idea and give it to the host? Simon is really all about the money.

I’m glad Cheryl has been replaced. She done well over here (in British), but she got too up her own arse & seemed to assume she would get it. Hopefully she still gets spmething. Would b a shame to go that far & have to get a return flight! I like Nicole. Good choice!

This is wonderful !!!!! Cheryl should not have gone to the U.S. should have stayed in the UK.

Nicole is the best girl for the job, not only is she gorgeous but she actually has talent.
Cheryl is nothing but a pretty face and comes across completely fake, I am British and feel ashamed that she represents us.
Ugh, no doubt Simon will find something else for her to do.
She should just go back to being a chav and beating up people in clubs.

This is the best decision so far. I do feel sorry for Cheryl however, she is not poor and can still earn in other ways. However, she said some horrible things about Nicole Scherzinger and refused to sign up if Nicole was on the panel(and that was before she has even met her!). Also, she openly said she did not want to end up like Paula Abdul. Who does she think she is? Paula is beautiful and talented and has more talent in her little finger than Cheryl Cole ever will. The only reason Cheryl is successful is because of Cowell and she is only interested in becoming famous in the States through X Factor and not at all interested in the talent. Yes, she is beautiful but so are many other women in the States and they are also talented too. This is not being horrible just stating facts. Most people did not believe she deserved that seat. She was useless in UK shows and I was happy Nicole took over because it was refreshing to see her beauty and listen to her constructive comments. Nicole deserves the seat and she has respect for Paula too.

@kitten, how do u know any of that. Its interesting how Bloggers just make up there own facts. I agree that th role should of been given to Nicole, shes american, talented and I’m sure she knows the American music market better than Cheryl, You need to remember these ‘Judges’ have to mentor and pick songs for there acts. Everyone made sense other than Cheryl, so I’m happy for Nicole. But all that crap of she doesn’t respect talent (crying over Alexandra 1st audition??) and her comments of Paula never happened, and she didn’t diss nicole just said the marketing campaign for that 1st PCD album was long, and that she wasn’t talented enough to go Solo… I’ll let you be the judge of that last one.

Hm, I wish that they had made slight judging changes, ’cause personally, I don’t want to watch Paula drunken rant. I’d rather see Cheryl, Simon, LA, and Nicole as judges, and Paula can co-host.
The whole accent thing is ridiculous, her accent isn’t even THAT thick, I can understand her every word in any interview she’s been on, and I normally have a difficult time with accents.
If only simon would see that he doesnt need to have Paula as a judge.
