New Music: JoJo - 'Disaster'

  /  08.29.2011

Disaster

Nearly five years after releasing her sophomore album The High Road, JoJo spreads her wings once again on “Disaster,” the first official single from her oft-delayed third album Jumping Trains. The pop-rock tune, which is reminiscent of her past hits “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late,” boasts an aggressive guitar riff and JoJo’s powerhouse vocals.

“It’s about how you end up in this place in a relationship and you’re like, ‘Where did this storm come from? How did I get so deep into something that ugly and hard to remove yourself from?'” JoJo tells staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud. “It’s a very honest record, but there’s definitely a resilient quality to it at the end.”
