On November 21, Epic Records in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, will release Immortal, which serves as the soundtrack to Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour.
Described as a musical tapestry for the tour, Immortal will be available in single and deluxe double disc versions. The North American leg of the musical kicked off last night in Montreal and will travel to Las Vegas for an extended stay in December. Under the guidance of musical designer Kevin Antunes (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna), Immortal will include reimagined versions of Jackson’s hits, mashups, and newly discovered outtakes fans have never heard before including an alternate version of the Jackson 5’s “ABC” and “They Don’t Really Care About Us” featuring a choir. Last year, Epic Records released the posthumous album Michael containing previously unreleased music from the King of Pop. Immortal Deluxe Album Tracklisting 1. I heard some of the music from the Cirque du Soleil trailer and it sounded good. As compared to the last cd his estate released, I think this will be nice because it consists of mashups of his hits. Can’t wait to hear it.
