Rap-Up.com || Single Cover: Rihanna f/ Jay-Z

The Roc is in the building. Rihanna calls on her Roc Nation boss and Blue Ivy Carter’s father Jay-Z for “Talk That Talk,” the third single and title track from her sixth album. RiRi squats down on the gritty black-and-white cover, which she revealed on Twitter. The Stargate-produced song follows “You Da One” and the Calvin Harris-assisted “We Found Love,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1. If you haven’t heard it yet, listen below.

I don’t know how well this will do. It’s an ok single choice but if she’s looking for a #1, I don’t think this will be the single that will give her another one. But then again Stargate did produce 3 #1 single on Loud so it is possible.

Don’t like the single cover. The only four songs I liked on the album were Talk That Talk, We All Want Love, Watch ‘n Learn and Farewell, but they were all pretty basic.

The song is cute, but I wish she would’ve followed up “We Found Love” with “Where have you been”! The production reminds me of Madonna’s Ray of Light album and I think it could’ve done very well with the right video treatment and promotion
