rip etta james, from a young age you touched my soul. you’re the reason i ever thought to become a singer, and now i want it more than ever. hearing of your passing made me realise life’s too short to dwell on the negatives, especially those that can be turned so easily into a positive. your music will forever live on in our hearts and souls. rip etta, you can finally rest now. i cried when i heard. big big etta fan, so saddened by this news.
