Iggy Azalea Debuts Tupac-Inspired Song at L.A. Show [Video]
Chaos erupted at Iggy Azalea’s sold-out show at Dim Mak Studios in Los Angeles last night. There were fights, purses stolen, and even arrests made as her fans, who call themselves Azaleans, eagerly awaited the arrival of the Aussie rap sensation. L.A. Weekly described the scene as “dangerously close to Michael Jackson-type hysteria.”
When the blonde MC finally hit the stage around 1 a.m., she performed her popular Ignorant Art mixtape cuts including “Pu$$y” and “My World,” and debuted a new Boi-1da-produced song, which borrows from her idol Tupac’s “Picture Me Rollin’.” “I got a lot on my mind/ I’m about to take what’s mine/ It’s my time/ Bitch, picture me rollin’,” she rapped.
After landing a deal with Interscope Records, Iggy has enlisted T.I. to executive produce her debut album The New Classic, due in June.
