Nicki Minaj phones Will Smith in the promo for the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards. The pink-haired rapper helps the Hollywood megastar prepare for his first-time hosting duties. “Have a seat, and hold on tight,” she tells him before sending him to KCA headquarters. The 25th annual show will air March 31 on Nickelodeon.

I hate when artists go all wacko in order for them to get noticed (Lady Gaga being the most extreme case), the music should be the only thing that gets your point across, not wearing pink wigs, having an annoying and far from amusing alter ego or doing a crap English accent. If that were her actual personality, she would be like that before fame. She should stick to her roots. And all those die hard nicki fans who say ‘versatility’ can kiss my ass. She would get laughed at if she were like that in the hood. You can be succesful without being wacko, just look at Rihanna, she doesnt go seeking attention, shes just being herself. Imo Nicki tryin’ too hard.
