Rap-Up.com || Nicki Minaj Ignites Barbie Mania at Philadephia CD Signing

After nearly shutting down Best Buy in Harlem on Tuesday, Nicki Minaj traveled to Philadelphia for her second in-store signing at f.y.e. The blonde Barb made a grand entrance via police escort and received an honorary sheriff’s badge from Sheriff Jewell Williams.

Barbz lined up around the block to get their CDs signed, but not everyone got to meet her Minajesty. “To the people I DID get to meet tonite, you were absolutely incredible,” tweeted Nicki. “So glad I got footage of you guys. The love was at an all time high.”

According to one-day estimates from HITS Daily Double, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is expected to debut at No. 1 with first-week sales around 200-225,000 copies.

200-225,000 only? I thought this album was gonna sell more than Pink Friday what happened? Thats 150-175,000 less than what Pink Friday sold. Thats basically considered a flop especially from a big artist like Nicki.

@Truth, She only sold that much with Pink Friday because it was released around black friday time and christmas time so more shoppers. This is just a regular time of year and thats pretty good for a debut.

Told yall that if she continued to do most pop and sell out she would lose fans and thats exactly what happened. 200-225k is not good considering that this is Nicki’s Second album. All Nicki needs to do is make an all Hip Hop album and i guarantee you that she can sell Drake, Wayne numbers. She needs to make an album that both Sexes can listen to not just females cause this album is not something i would blast in my car or listen to on my ipod.

I’m actually a fan of Nicki, NOT to be confused with some of those delusional stans, and I had high hopes for her to outsell Pink Fridays debut. There’s been a helluva lot of promo with this album, so if she only moves 200-225,000 units, I’m considering this album a flop. That’s like a 35% drop from her debut. Regardless of the numbers she moves this week, I do applaud her diversity with this album & her goal of becoming a world-wide superstar. I bought the album, and I’ll continue to support her because I’ve been riding with her since 07′. I feel like the album would have gotten better reviews had she left about 3-4 of the dance songs off. And I’m still not understanding why one of the songs that has the potential to be a HUGE single (Va Va Voom) is only available on the delux edition (just like Super Bass). It was slated to be the first single, she shot a video and all, but then for some reason it got put on hold. I feel like her numbers would have been a lot higher had she released that song, and then maybe Hov Lane for the urban radio. But hey, they say hindsight is 20/20

ok so i hate her make-up if you look in the first pic you can clearly see where the make-up starts also she needs to start wearing her correct foundation… nothing is wrong with being dark skinned… love the skin your in stop trying to make your skin lighter

who cares… lets wait to see final cd sales first… but her cd has so many smash hits… its about the longevity of the cd… even if she doesnt surpass her first week sales she has so many songs that are gonna make this cd go to the top… like pound the alarm, i am your leader, right by my side, champion, young forever, whip it.. and her international success has grown considerably since her last album… if you take superbass away from her last album she just had some good hits… no super hits… she already has starships with this album… and its just the beggining… you cant say that there are not some fckin hits on ths cd… this cd is more hip hop than her last cd, and more pop as well.. the hip hop it has is harder and the pop it has is a lot more dance oriented… she is smart..

I just bought it today off iTunes, and I’m gonna buy the hard copy at the store too. So this is just an estimate, people are not done buying yet. Even if she doesn’t surpass PF first week sales, this album will go platinum in a month. Kim could neva!!!

so many singles on the album. its gonna sell for a long time. even if it starts at 200 K which is still pretty good. rihanna’s LOUD sold 200k in the first week and the album was a success. so yall who call it a flop sit down and see.
