Rap-Up.com || New Music: Ying Yang Twins – ‘Fist Pump, Jump Jump’

They’re back! After topping the charts with “Wait (The Whisper Song)” in 2005, hip-hop duo the Ying Yang Twins shake up the dance floor with their new single “Fist Pump, Jump Jump” featuring Greg Tecoz. Produced by RedOne (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj), the energetic anthem was inspired by MTV’s hit show “Jersey Shore,” and is quite a departure from their raunchy material of the past. Take a shot of their new sound.

To me the transition has to be smooth to go from hip hop to pop and it’s not for everybody just like the whole autotune fad for example and for these guys to be gone for years and then pop up and do what the fad is right now just isn’t a good look for them. I know crunk dying was kinda what took them out the picture but this comes off as too much of a ditch effort to be relevant again rather than it being something they truly wanted to do.

@PHX, How so when Ying Yang has been in Europe for the last few years touring. Not many shows in the US. Black fans all abandoning them. White audiences still keeping them relevant and SUPPORTING them unlike fair weather Black Fans. They’ve been in Germany and Italy and Bucharest and playin ALL white audiences who love Dance energy Music. Also doing a Remix to LoveRance Beat The Pussy Up. The WORLD is the audience.
