Rap-Up.com || Video: Coldplay f/ Rihanna

Rihanna journeys to an ancient land with Coldplay in the cinematic video for “Princess of China,” the latest single off the British band’s album Mylo Xyloto. The pop superstar transforms into a “gangsta goth geisha” and sword-wielding samurai in the kung fu-inspired visuals, heating up the screen with frontman Chris Martin.

“The final concept is a movie trailer to an old Kung-fu film,” explained RiRi of the special effects clip. “I get to play a bad samurai bitch. I get to play a cute little geisha bitch.”

The song is called “Princess of CHINA” but she is portraying herself as a Geisha?

China and Japan are two different things

Geisha’s are part of Japanese culture not Chinese
