Rita Ora Wants to Make You Smile with Her Debut Album![]() Rita Ora takes it back to her roots in her latest “24/7″ episode for VEVO. Before she landed a deal with Roc Nation and topped the U.K. charts, the Albanian songstress was trying to make a name for herself. She showed off her early talent by playing the piano and singing “I’ll Be Waiting,” a song she wrote when she was 15. The bubbly blonde also shared the direction of her forthcoming debut. “I wanted my first album to be about what I wanted to listen to when I heard an album,” said Rita, who is currently opening for Coldplay’s European tour. “I wanted to escape for three minutes, so I wanted to have something that made me smile. I wanted to make people smile. I haven’t really been through a heartbreak, so I didn’t really want to write about a heartbreak.” Watch her spread some sunshine below.

I really want to like, but to me she’s very forgettable….no doubt she’s talented , but I don’t think she really draws people in.

@Redchainsaw, I never understand this logic. Its the Rihannization of the music industry. Singers are not just supposed to be singers and sound good; they have to have drama filled lives so we get thrills, chills, and spills constantly. Huh? No shade to Riri. But I just want an Adele or Rita or anyone to perform well, make great songs, and thats it. Who they sleep with, date, party with, whatever I dont care!!!!! I have enough fun in my life, I dont need to live off someone else’s.

I wish people would stop pitting her against Rihanna! For one thing she is Albanian not from Barbardos and the only thing she has in common with Rih is the blonde hair and the same record label! Rita can sing live and in the studio, while Ri Ri needs help while singing live! She seems real sweet and down to earth! This girl has talent and will go far! She already has a hit song here How We Do,the video is played on the time on MTV and another hit in the UK/Eu R.I.P. She has been promoting her self already with interviews, photo shoots, and performances which is a great start! Roc Nation will make her a success!

I dont think she is gonna make it in the US, only in Europe probably. I like her, but i doubt she will make it in the US. She’ll need a lot of promotion.

Rita is gonna be a megastar.Couple months in an she already got haters.Must be doing something right. What makes the US so hard for her.I hear that Party song all the time the radio and I live here. She got beauty and she can sing, she young, and she has major backing with Jayz. Most of the Brits who fail to cross over either have weak labels or are too old.
