Janelle Monáe Throws a House Party in Sonos Commercial [Video]![]() Janelle Monáe is expanding her brand. After becoming CoverGirl’s newest spokeswoman, the “Tightrope” singer lines up her next endorsement gig for Sonos. In the commercial, Janelle invites members of her Wondaland Arts Society over to her crib in Atlanta for a house party. With the touch of a button on her iPhone, she sets the mood with the Sonos Wireless HiFi system, taking the party from the living room to the closet to the bedroom. “One of the things that I love doing is changing the songs if I’m in a different room and people are partying and having a good time,” she said. “Songs are just coming on and they don’t know who’s controlling what. I love being the mastermind behind the whole mood of the party.” In between performing with her idol Prince on his “Welcome 2 Chicago” tour, Janelle has been in the studio working on her next album, The Electric Lady.

Woooowzers. This could not look like more fun! I neeeeed to get to Wondaland. That whole crew is sick. I got to meet some of the at Afropunk this year and they were cool as hell. Really nice people who create funky art. I love it. Props Wondaland – keep going! Can’t wait to JM’s new album, Roman GianArthur’s and DeepCotton.

This commercial was fun in the beginning. Now it keeps playing over and over and over and over and over again. I’m tired of this shit.
