Rap-Up.com || Kelly Rowland Kicks Off New Year’s Weekend in Las Vegas

2013 is still a day away, but Kelly Rowland got the party started early. The R&B diva kicked off New Year’s Eve weekend in the party capital of the world, Las Vegas. She dined at N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms before heading to Rain nightclub where she held court in the VIP section. Looking sexy in a leopard top and leather pants, Kelly walked the red carpet, changing to perform her hits including “When Love Takes Over” and “Motivation.”

The celebration continues tonight. Kelly will perform at Kevin Hart’s New Year’s Eve Pre-Party with her “Representin” collaborator Ludacris at Club Nokia in L.A.

Look for her new album Year of the Woman at the top of 2013 featuring contributions from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Rico Love, Kevin Cossom, T-Minus, and Rock City.

I love Kelly, but I have become increasingly concerned about the serious decline in the quality of her voice during live shows. It has gotten to woeful this year alone. I don’t know if it’s this medical, nodules or something she’s yet to realise or a knock on effect from many negative critiques or if she’s suffering from nerves. Whatever it is she needs to take a assess and adjust. Quickly. Don’t get me started on this added thickness courtesy of Jenkins. She’s turning Kelly thicker than she has ever been, even thicker than Bey, and muscular too. It doesn’t suit her, she’s starting to look like a butch video chick.

What is her plan though? The state of her live performances leaves her where exactly in this current climate, where artists make albums just for the tour ticket sales. Who will by an album if the artist can’t promote the material live? who will pay to see/hear performances like this?
Surely she has people in her life that can sit her down and tell her “its time to get good at something else or take time off (scrap this album date) and get good at her current career.”

Kelly is sexier than ever.She much more beautiful now.She can hustle and has managed to stay semi relevant.She has become a good performer with great stage presence.But what about those vocals,it’s not that they are bad,they’re painfully average.Kelly has worked on improving in every aspect of her life except her vocals.I Stan for Kelly but her career is going nowhere if she doesn’t get her vocals in order.She has no control and discipline over her voice none so ever.And most of the time she be over singing songs while avoiding high notes,that comes of as like she can’t sing.
