Alexis Jordan topped the dance charts in the U.S. and overseas with her debut single “Happiness.” Following the release of her 2011 album, the StarRoc artist (a collaboration between Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and hitmakers Stargate) pulls in some heavy-hitters for the first single from her sophomore album.
The 20-year-old songstress teams with her Roc Nation labelmate J. Cole on “Acid Rain,” produced by Stargate and written by Sia, the team behind Rihanna’s No. 1 single “Diamonds.”
The club anthem, which premiered on Norwegian website 730.no, features a pulsing electro rhythm and two fiery verses from Cole.
Report to the dance floor with Alexis’ triumphant tune.

Girl is quite fresh.
But I can’t see this denting the US charts. Good tune though. J.Cole’s verse off the beginning should be cut. Its not required.

This sounds like Diamonds with a singer & worse production. Don’t like the beat at all. Why couldn’t Alexis have had Diamonds & Rihanna had this. Then I would have been ok with hating this & liking that.

You can always tell when a record is a song Rihanna turned down, the vocal arrangement says Rihanna all day long.

The beat a little reminds me the song Nicole Scherzinger ‘don’t hold your breath’, especially part of 0:39-1:05 and also in the second verse..

Well, Ibrahim is on Twitter bitching about it … so apparently, they just jacked Cole’s verses from a previous song w/o his permission and sped them up. Then, Cole tweeted, “You know me better than that” before deleting it.
