Beyoncé Performs ‘Standing on the Sun’ Live in Belgium

Beyoncé

Beyoncé turned up the heat in Antwerp, Belgium, during the latest stop on her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.” Looking radiant in a flowy red dress, Bey and her colorfully-dressed female dancers performed her new song “Standing on the Sun” for the first time at Sportpaleis. The Sia-penned record made its debut in Bey’s H&M summer commercial.

“We’re gonna do something just for ya’ll,” she told her fans, who already knew the words.

She will perform at the Chime for Change benefit concert in London tonight alongside Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea, and more.

Watch her scorching set below.

I hope she has something “just for” America, too!

@Urban Prince, No, shut up. You guys always get special treatment just because most of the artists are American.

she needs to start promoting a single here now since she’s finished over there…i don’t know whats going on this era girl

@2bad2bme, The new era hasn’t even really started. Who knows if “Bow Down,” “Grown Woman,” or “Standing on the Sun” will even make the album. Beyonce knows what she’s doing. When she’s ready to make an official album announcement, she’ll be all set. At this point, I’m expecting a 4th quarter release like around November.

@sandy, possibly because of her hair.. WHICH LOOKS SHAVED BUT ITS JUST PULLED BACK!
Or maybe, because Rihanna wore a very similar dress on her Loud Tour..

    EITHER WAY ITS REACHING!

    And this performance was great!

i hate when artists of non west indie backgrounds use faux slang/talk in their songs.

    Bitches In Paris Reply:

@Dots, U she’s been doing that WHEN performing Baby Boy , please look at all of her performances for Baby Boy . Listen to the damn song Sean Paul was the one saying “Little more da dutty, we’ll rock dat world ” she was saying his part live because he wasn’t the one performing live with her .

Don’t you bitches get tired of reaching so much ?

I don’t care what anyone says she killed this! It doesn’t matter if she’s not west indie background, she has tons of fans that are and they will love this regardless! I cannot wait until she comes back home to the US. It’s gonna be lights out just like the Superbowl, lmfao.

I LOVE BEY BUT I BEEN ON, GROWN WOMAN AND THIS IS NOT MAKING ME SAY I CANT WAIT TO BUY THE ALBUM THESE SONGS IS NOT THE BEST THEY SOUND LIKE GET ME BODIED AND SINGLE LADIES MIXED I JUST THINK BEY SHOULD JUST BE IN THE STUDIO

    karamelkisses Reply:

@YEA, why would she retire when she has a sold out world tour on music released 2+ years ago? oh you mad, because even with current music your fave is having a hard time filling seats! #retireyourlife

    [Reply]

    karamelkisses Reply:

@QueenBey, who’s to say she isn’t? she’s probably performing grown woman & standing on the sun because people can here some of the music in the h&m & pepsi commercials. these songs sound nothing like get me bodied or single ladies seeing as they have a heavy tribal beat.

This was a good performance but I am just not feeling the song at all. I bet when her tour hits America she will have plenty more surprises and I’m sure she will start performing more and more new material from her album. That’s what I like about her tours. She knows when to switch things up and she tweaks stuff around so it’s not so predictable.

Beyonce is phenominal.

Now i understand why ppl are saying Rihanna shaded Beyonce because Beyonce is targeting Rihanna in subtle ways! First it was GQ, then it was the tours, and now she stepping in Rihanna’s Lane with the West Indian influence which isn’t a problem because she’s being diverse but at the same time it’s not authentic! If you’re going to portray another’s culture, perform it in a way it looks real! I’m sorry Beyonce’s performance lacked luster but that doesn’t look or sounds organic! It does look like she’s truly aiming for Rihanna’s pedestal like RiRi said indirectly now that’s she no longer where she used to be! Another thing, how is it they know Beyonce songs and we don’t?

@You Thought It I Post It, #1 How is she targeting Rihanna by a magazine that ASKED her to be on it, by touring which is apart of her job & “Baby Boy” was a west indian song before Rihanna was even thought of. #2 If her performance lacked luster than any Rihanna performance must be dry as 80 yr old vagina. #3 We do know these songs. They’re from the commercials. Ya’ll gotta do your research before you comment because then you won’t look like complete idiot.

@Miguel, #1 Do you believe everything you see and her? Yes some artists are asked to be covers but they also pay to covers as well! #2 Why is she touring without a new album? #3 Yes you’re right Baby Boy was out before Rihanna’s Pon De Replay but which one embraced it? Which one is true to that culture? Which one sings naturally with an accent? Would the real west indian please stand up! #4 To each it’s own about whether Rihanna’s performance is dry or not. That’s my opinion about Beyonce’s performance, hate it or love it! #5 When mentioned “how is it they know Beyonce songs and we don’t?” I was referring the entire song which they clearly knew! #6 We’re supposed to be civil and mature so need for name calling! Express your point or argument without resorting to name calling thanks!

@You Thought It I Post It, someone ring the bell so class can begin! so because bey wore her hair pulled to the side & she’s targeting ri? sorry but wasn’t cassie rocking that style before ANYONE? so when ri was blonde (and looked a steaming mess) did she target bey? that’s how dumb you sound … because no one can copyright hair styles and/or colors. secondly, gq invited both bey & ri to do their covers … ri as the obsession of the year b/c she’s all about putting her business out via twitter & instagram then getting mad when people talk about it/her. bey was the #1 hottest woman of the milennium due to her looks & her accomplishments. as far as tribal influence in music, you might want to google baby boy by bey back in early 2000 … so she did it long before ri. lastly, the only pedestal that ri has is the toilet in her house which is where her life & career would have been had it not been for bey’s influence and bey’s husband discovering her. ya’ll kill me talking about bey ain’t where she used to be. of course, she’s not globe trotting like she used to but she said 3 years ago that it was a decision she made because she was living life but not enjoying life. don’t be a fool, NO ONE is selling out a tour w/ old music AND making people mad about no new music but BEYONCE! #youtried

@You Thought It I Post It, spoken like a true, bland, superficial, ignant Rihanna Fan. It’s a wonder the RihannaNavy doesn’t get lost at sea with all the mindless stupidity you all give off. Baby Boy came out in 2003……waaaaaaay before The Forehead swam ashore..so have a seat and don’t speak until you got something of substance to say.

not her best work but with beyoncé it s always good

that s not enough to my eyes

We re loosing beyoncé with this tour : she forgets the lyrics, she canceled a show, she was exhausted and could not even dance as usual in Paris, someone slap her booty in Copenhague, she forgot the break on single ladies in London.

Nobody is perfect but that s a lot for the queen she is

She should rest, write her own hits cause timbo is not at his best for the moment. She should research more creativity in studio.

Go bey, we’re waiting : kill that again !

@conrad, she POSTPONED one date, and went back on the 30th. The first time for her to do that in her entire career. Meanwhile rihanna postponed at least 5 shows on her current tour already alone and rescheduled them for THIS WINTER. As for mistakes in the songs, at least she can sing live. I’m seeing her in concert and if she messed stuff up I would just be laughing along with her. Stay mad.
