Miguel showed love to his hometown by covering Tupac Shakur’s “I Get Around” during the BET Experience at Staples Center on Saturday. The L.A. native performed some choreographed moves and rapped along to the ’90s classic before segueing into his own single “Quickie.”

His 30-minute set also included material off his first two albums and his biggest hit yet, “Adorn.”

Miguel will perform across the street at Nokia Theatre at tonight’s BET Awards, where he is nominated four times.

On September 25, he will hit the road with Drake and Future on the “Would You Like a Tour?” trek.
