New Music: GTA feat. Tinashe - 'All Caught Up'
Tinashe gets “All Caught Up” with GTA’s Julio Mejia and Matt Toth. The trio teams up on the fourth cut off GTA’s upcoming debut album, Good Times Ahead.
Over infectious electronic production, Tinashe seductively sings about her lover. “Take me into your arms,” she sings. “I’m gonna keep you all caught up / Deeper into your heart.”
“All Caught Up” is a departure from GTA’s usual sound, according to Matt. “This track was one of the first we had finished,” he told The FADER. “It’s different than what people are probably used to hearing from us. It’s a bit more melodic and vocal driven, plus it’s just sexy.”
Julio says that’s precisely what made it “the perfect fit” for Tinashe. “We love her range,” he adds. “And she just killed it.”
GTA’s Good Times Ahead is set to drop Oct. 7 with appearances by Vince Staples, Iamsu!, and Tunji Ige. Pre-orders are available now. Meanwhile, Tinashe’s Joyride is also due this year.
