Rita Ora Talks ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ Musical Hiatus, & Love Life on ‘Wendy’

Rita Ora invades television.

As she gears up for the premiere of VH1’s “America’s Next Top Model” on Monday (Dec. 12), the show’s host paid a visit to “The Wendy Williams Show” to dish about taking over the reins from Tyra Banks. But she’s not looking to replace her.

“You can’t try and take over Tyra’s shoes,” said Ora. “It’s impossible.”

While she’s worked on three films this year, including Fifty Shades Darker, Wonderwell, and Fifty Shades Freed, the 26-year-old mogul is still focused on her music career.

“I’ve been in such a hoo-haw with the music that it turned into a thing where I wanted to outdo myself,” she explained. “So I started doing other things and why not? … I feel like I’m in one of the most powerful positions I’ve ever been in in my life.”

Ora, who was previously signed to Roc Nation, signed to Atlantic Records earlier this year and will release her new album in 2017. She is going back to her roots, recording in her hometown of London.

When asked about her “Black Widow” collaborator Iggy Azalea, Rita had nothing but kind words.

“We love her,” she explained. “I haven’t spoken to her in a while, but I’ve always got love for anyone we collaborate with. It’s a magic moment, whenever we have success.”

During the interview, she also opened up about her love life. “I’m a free spirit right now. I ain’t looking for nothing,” said Rita. “The last thing I want to do is worry about my relationship right now.”

Plus, watch her break down her film roles and reveal why Prince Harry makes her “flushy.”
