In the heart of New York City, staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud had the opportunity to head to the MTV headquarters and chat with the Simmons sisters—Angela and Vanessa—at a Girl Scouts press conference this past Tuesday. While a crowd of reporters and photographers munched on Girl Scout cookies, the siblings were honored as the organization’s new role models. Those in the audience also watched an episode of “Run’s House.” The episode followed Angela and Vanessa as they were asked to join the Girl Scouts and become leaders. After the show ended, the sisters, both visibly excited, stood up to address the room. “I hope to inspire them to be entrepreneurs,” Angela stated, of the more than four million girls involved with the association. Adrienne Bailon of The Cheetah Girls cheered on the reality TV starlets. The petite songstress is also a member of the Girl Scouts.

Rev Run’s daughters were called on by the organization to help young women understand the importance of entrepreneurship and financial literacy. “There is a real lack of people encouraging young ladies to be leaders,” said Vanessa. The Simmons sisters are well known for being the two young beauties of MTV’s reality hit series “Run’s House.” Not only are they the daughters of a hip-hop pioneer, but the two are developing their own household names. Vanessa and Angela are the owners of Pastry, a footwear line they launched this year. The line began as a sneaker brand but has now branched out to winter boots, sandals, jewelry, handbags, hats, and clothing. In honor of their present leadership duties, the duo will create a Girl Scouts Mint Cookie Limited Edition sneaker.
