Game is painting the charts R.E.D. The Compton rapper’s latest album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week.

The R.E.D. Album sold 98,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It marks the third album from Game to enter at No. 1 following 2005’s The Documentary and 2006’s Doctor’s Advocate (2008’s LAX landed at No. 2 with 239,000).

Game dethrones Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne from the top spot. The joint album from the hip-hop duo has moved 707,000 units in the three weeks since its release.

Game took to Twitter to celebrate the good news. “Im so fuckin happy right now I dont know what the fuck 2 do ! Thank yall again from the bottom of MY HEART ! Lamborghinis 4 EVERYBODY lol,” he wrote. “4 #1 rap albums !!! Seems like just yesterday I wanted to be a rapper now 4 albums later…… We here. Damn, life krazy sometimes.”

But he better savor the moment while it lasts. His “Red Nation” collaborator Lil Wayne is set to blow away the competition when Tha Carter IV arrives on the charts next week. Sales are estimated in 850,000-900,000 range.
