Get ready to put your “Diamonds” in the sky. After much speculation, Rihanna has confirmed that her new single will debut this week.

The first offering from her upcoming seventh album will premiere Wednesday, September 26, at 8 a.m. EST on Z100’s “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” and other Clear Channel radio stations. It was reportedly produced and written by Stargate, Benny Blanco, and Sia.

The pop starlet spilled details to Elvis Duran during her visit to the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. “You’re not sad or dancing. You’re happy and hippie. It’s laid-back, but it’s hopeful,” said RiRi of “Diamonds.” “It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect. I’m excited to surprise them sonically.”

This will mark her seventh album in seven years. Just last year, she released Talk That Talk, which spawned the hit singles “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been.”

“I love good music. I love great music,” said the 24-year-old. “When I make an album, that’s what I think about, what I want to hear, what I love to hear. I think that’s what my fans love. They just love great music. I always want to make it interesting for them and I always want to make it a little fresh, a little ahead of what’s on the radio. That’s the challenge for me, but I enjoy that.”

She also unveiled the website Rihanna7.com, which shows an image of her “R” logo and the words “Coming Soon” underneath it.

Her “Hate That I Love You” collaborator Ne-Yo recently revealed that he has contributed to the album. “I did go in the studio with her,” he told Rap-Up TV. “I know I got one or two on the album that she’s definitely keeping.”

Rihanna will support the project with her “Diamonds World Tour,” set to launch March 8 in the U.S. Tickets are on sale now.
