New Music: Skillz - ‘2012 Rap Up'

  /  12.25.2012

From the birth of Blue Ivy to the tragic death of Whitney Houston, Skillz recounts the year in music, sports, politics, and Hollywood on his annual “Rap Up.” The Virginia MC spits about Frank Ocean’s coming out letter, Chris Brown and Drake’s beef, and the re-election of President Obama on the song, which appears as a bonus cut on his new album Thoughts Become Things.

Skillz says this will be his final “Rap Up.” “I’m wrapping up these ‘Rap Ups’ ya’ll, it’s been 10 years/ I’m gracefully gon’ bow out, but still write them hits,” he raps.
