Miguel Surprises Philly Fans with Impromptu Show
The show must go on. When Drake’s Philadelphia concert was abruptly canceled on Saturday, supporting act Miguel took matters into his own hands.
The “Adorn” singer and his band quickly arranged for a pop-up show at Ortlieb’s Lounge, where he played for roughly an hour, much to the surprise of the patrons. Word quickly spread on Twitter of his surprise set.
“last nights pop up show in Philly was LOVE. Big shout to Orliebs and all the fans that found it,” said Miguel.
The Philly show, which was canceled due to “unexpected technical issues,” has been rescheduled for Dec. 18. According to TMZ, Drake was scared the raised catwalk would potentially fall into the audience due to an electrical malfunction.
But the problem seems to have been solved and the tour is scheduled to resume tonight in Montreal.
Watch Miguel surprise his fans with the free gig.
