Thirty-four years ago today, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born. In honor of #BeyDay, her loved ones have shared a musical playlist (via TIDAL) of songs that remind them of their most cherished moments with Queen Bey.
Her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, dedicated Stephanie Mills’ “Home,” which is both one of their favorite songs, while Papa Knowles chose Smokey Robinson’s “Here I Go Again,” which he used to sing to a young Bey.
Solange picked Kim Burrell’s gospel number “Holy Ghost” and Bey’s nephew Julez picked Pharrell’s “Happy” because “Auntie just plain makes me ‘Happy’!”

Jay Z serenaded his wife with Coldplay’s “Yellow.” “This song reminds me of you and I on vacation. ‘Look at the stars,’ look how they shine for you.’ So many legendary nights,” wrote Mr. Carter. “It represents vulnerability; it’s us in our own world, away from work and totally lost in love. ‘For you, I’ll bleed myself dry.'”
And even Blue Ivy got in on the fun, dedicating “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid to her mother. “Mommy you sung this to me all the time. Happy Birthday, Mommy!”
The birthday girl thanked them for their wishes. “Nothing sweeter than starting the day with this beautiful playlist from my family!” she said.
Solange has also put together a birthday playlist of her favorite Beyoncé songs including “Countdown,” “Party,” and “Green Light.”
