New Music: T-Pain - 'Do Dat Sh*t'
T-Pain is ready to “Do Dat Shit” in 2016.
While he readies his oft-delayed album Stoicville: The Phoenix, the singer drops a new single, which finds him back in Auto-Tune mode. Produced by De-Capo, “Do Dat Shit” is not just a club-ready banger, it’s also a sex-filled jam.
“That thang wet like a swimming pool and I’m ’bout to dive in it,” sings Pain on the track. “I’m Michael Phelps and you hot to death, look at all the medals I’m winnin’.”
Pain has strayed from Auto-Tune from time to time in recent years. 2014’s “Tiny Desk” concert is one example, while “Officially Yours” is another.
Last year, T-Pain also wowed audiences by singing the National Anthem at an L.A. Dodgers game with no vocal assistance. “Being known as the Auto-Tune guy, it feels good to have people actually know that there’s something behind that,” he said at the time.
