Watch Janelle Monáe's Pepsi Super Bowl Commercial

  /  02.04.2016

Janelle Monáe has endorsement deals with CoverGirl and Sonos, and now she stars in her very first Pepsi commercial, which is set to air on Super Bowl Sunday.

“The Electric Lady” dances along to hits from different eras in the 40-second spot, entitled “The Joy of Dance,” breaking it down to The Contours’ 1962 single “Do You Love Me” and Madonna’s 1989 hit “Express Yourself.” Plus, she puts her own twist on the famous Pepsi “Joy of Cola” jingle.

Monáe is the latest artist to get her own Super Bowl commercial. Lil Wayne, for instance, appears in an Apartments.com ad with his homie George Washington, while Drake teamed up with T-Mobile for his.

Super Bowl 50 is set to take place Sunday as the Denver Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform the national anthem, while Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, and Coldplay will entertain during the halftime show.

Watch Monáe dance through the decade in her Super Bowl ad.
