Chris Brown Stars as Superhero in Philipp Plein Ad Campaign

Chris Brown goes from superstar to superhero in Philipp Plein’s Fall/Winter 2016 campaign.

Decked out in black leather, posing alongside the “ultimate superhero team” including models Carmen Dell’Orefice, Soo Joo Park, and Crystal Renn, Breezy shows he can model too, even going upside down in one of the ad’s more striking images.

Plein’s Fall/Winter collection was inspired by superhero comics. “In a neon-lit futureworld, filled with turmoil and danger, the battle between good and evil rages on,” explains the designer. “Under attack from invisible forces, everyone must choose a side in this epic fight to the end. The struggle is real but there is hope. We need to search deep inside ourselves to find the belief, strength and determination to become superhuman. We can harness hidden powers within us all. Regardless of gender, nationality or age, we can be heroes.”

The images capture different sides of Breezy. In one pic, he’s shown holding a weapon and in another, he’s seen as an angelic figure with a halo above his head.

Earlier today, the singer unleashed two new tracks, “A Lot of Love” and “My Friend.” Plus, he explained his frustration and anger in the wake of this week’s police shootings.
