New Music: Cassie - 'Joint (No Sleep)'
Before Cassie drops her new single “Makeup,” the Bad Boy songstress unleashes another “Joint.”
From the upcoming Honey 3 soundtrack, “Joint (No Sleep)” is a dance-ready anthem. “That’s the joint,” sings Cassie. “Yeah, give me that beat / What’s the point? / We ain’t being low-key / Get dough / We ain’t getting no sleep.”
Cassie also uses the new banger to express some confidence. “We on that floor,” she sings. “Hair tied up / We about to get it, I know you like that booty / You can look, don’t touch.”
Honey 3, which stars Cassie and Kenny Wormald, dances its way into theaters tomorrow (Sept. 2). Meanwhile, the Detail-produced “Makeup” is set to arrive soon.
“I did a lot of records with Detail,” Cassie said at the VMAs. “We have a single coming up called ‘Makeup,’ which I think the ladies are gonna love…coming soon.”
