New Music: Solange - 'Cranes in the Sky (KAYTRANADA Remix)'
KAYTRANADA takes flight with a new remix to Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky” off the singer’s chart-topping album A Seat at the Table.
After debuting his remix at New York’s Terminal 5, KAY delivers the unofficial studio version today (Oct. 12).
“I couldn’t help it and i can’t deny how good it sounds. this is just an edit to play on my dj sets, and i played it once and everybody wanted it right away,” he explains in a note via SoundCloud.
“Honestly,” he added, “i was gonna wait to see if Solange or her team or whoever works for her wouldve ask me to do an offical remix so if they still want to, i could make it sound better than that version but ohhhhh, what the hell…. anyways i highly recommend you that new Solange album A Seat At The Table.”
Quickly after KAY released his remix, Solange gave it her stamp of approval.
“Whoa!” she tweeted. “Love to you brother.” His response? “right back at you sista!”
