New Music: Nicki Minaj - 'Black Barbies'
Nicki Minaj puts her stamp on “Black Beatles.”
A day after the song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the rap queen unleashes her ferocious remix to Rae Sremmurd’s chart-topper, appropriately titled “Black Barbies.” Over the Mike WiLL Made-It production, Onika calls out PETA (“Too high to give a shit about PETA”), gets political (“Island girl, Donald Trump want me go home”), and blasts the competition (“All these bitches is my sons, should be sucking my tits”).
“I’m a fuckin’ black Barbie / Pretty face, perfect body / Pink seats in the ‘Rari, always fuck ’em like I’m sorry,” she raps on the reworked hook.
When she’s not freestyling over Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu” or starring in DJ Khaled’s “Do You Mind” video, Nicki is working on the follow-up to her 2014 album The Pinkprint.
“The album is so freaking epic,” she recently told Hot 97, “but it’s a journey. Before my first album came out, I was on everybody’s song. I had my own campaign without realizing it. Right now, I have to complete a few things for other people…What that does, throughout my career, it makes me get back to my fun side and it makes me push my pen.”
