New Music: Post Malone - 'Patient'
Post Malone is done being “Patient.”
After dropping “Congratulations” with Quavo, White Iverson unleashes “Patient,” the latest track off his forthcoming album Stoney.
“Used to be so damn patient,” he sings. “But now it’s fuck you, pay me / Can’t let these motherfuckers phase me / Never let that money change me / Ain’t the way my mama raised me.”
Speaking of patience, Malone’s fans have certainly been just that. Stoney was set to be released earlier this year, on Aug. 26. There was even a mixtape August 26, meant to commemorate the date. However, it was later postponed.
“I know everyone is mad at me right now,” he wrote at the time. “I’d be mad too. Due to a couple of different issues, my album couldn’t be finishing on the date I promised. I’m disappointed in myself and my whole team.”
Stoney, featuring contributions from Pharrell, Kehlani, Quavo, and 2 Chainz, is set to drop Dec. 9.
