New Music: Lost Kings feat. Tinashe - 'Quit You'
Tinashe brings back the ’80s on “Quit You,” a dance-floor-ready collaboration with Lost Kings.
With Tinashe’s vocal prowess lending soothing harmonies, the track takes on a modern feel. Backed by vintage drums and synthesizer sounds, it’s a balanced approach at pop music from then and now.
“I’m addicted to the high you put me on,” she sings. “I’m addicted to the same old Coldplay song / And every time you turn it on / God knows I can’t fix you / But I can’t quit you.”
This week, Tinashe also joined her idol Britney Spears to perform their “Slumber Party” collaboration at her “Piece of Me” show in Las Vegas.

Tinashe’s guest appearance on “Quit You” is another sign of new music from the R&B songstress. Just last week, she also guest-starred on Tinie Tempah’s “Text From Your Ex.” Meanwhile, fans await her much-anticipated and oft-delayed Joyride LP, due at some point this year.
