Stream NAV's Debut Mixtape

  /  02.24.2017

After joining his mentor The Weeknd on “Some Way,” NAV delivers his eponymous debut mixtape.

Previously best known for his production, the Toronto native wrote, produced, and mixed all 11 tracks, which include “Some Way.” While Abel is the only featured artist on the effort, Metro Boomin, DannyBoy Styles, and Rex Kudo offer production assistance.

The effort opens with “Myself,” a track that allows NAV to introduce himself. “I’ma break every box they try to put me in,” he confidently raps in Auto-Tuned fashion. “I got a lot of enemies that used to be my friends.”

Another eye-catching title, particularly for Lambs, might be “Mariah,” but the song isn’t actually about MC. “Mariah, she said she ain’t working, she a liar,” he sings. “She just flew to L.A. looking for a superstar / She gon’ get out his whip if you got a faster car.”

Out on XO/Republic, NAV is just a taste of things to come. The Brownboy has already announced Perfect Timing, a joint collaboration with Metro Boomin. While waiting for a release date on PT, get to know NAV a little better below.
