Prrr! Plies answers the call with the release of his new Youngboy Never Broke Again-assisted single, “Check Callin.”
Inspired by The Roots’ Erykah Badu and Eve-assisted classic “You Got Me,” “Check Callin” finds Plies rapping about his money getting ways. “They say more money brings problems,” he raps. “Give me the problems then!”
After Plies’ rhymes about financial gains, YoungBoy delivers a verse about resilience in the face of despair. “Family problems, gotta face it,” he raps. “I go hard, can’t let it break me.”
In May, Plies dropped “Real Hitta” with Kodak Black. Up next, he is scheduled to perform at the 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which is set to air Oct. 10.
