DRAM Drops Rick Rubin-Produced 'Check Ya Fabrics'

  /  11.03.2017

Shortly after abandoning the periods in his name, DRAM teams up with legendary producer Rick Rubin for “Check Ya Fabrics.”

The experimental track features guitar strings in the background, while DRAM’s vocals are distorted and contorted to make for a trippy vibe. “I got Prada, I got Gucci,” he sings. “I got Balenciaga, but they did me wrong.”

After singing about his addiction to women, DRAM continues to muse about high fashion. “I got the Fendi belt,” he sings. “I got the Prada belt with the fur / I got the corduroy as well.”

But there’s more to come from Big Baby DRAM and Rubin. “Me & Rick Rubin have been working on music together for a couple years now but this is the first track we’ve officially put out together,” he said in a message to fans. “Hope you guys enjoy.”

“Check Ya Fabrics” is the latest buzz track from DRAM, following the Trippie Redd-assisted “Ill Nana” and “Gilligan” featuring A$AP Rocky and Juicy J. He is now prepping his sophomore follow-up to last year’s Big Baby D.R.A.M.
