New Music: Ella Mai - 'Trip'

While “Boo’d Up” continues its top 10 domination, Ella Mai takes a “Trip” on her follow-up single.

The British songstress discovers a love that’s “too good to be true” on the infectious R&B jam. “My bad for trippin’ on you,” she sings.

A grateful Ella also reflected on the success of “Boo’d Up,” which is currently No. 7 on the Hot 100. “Thank you all so much for taking me in. Thank you all so much for being so loving and kind,” she said. “I can never express myself enough through words to really explain how grateful I am. You changed my life.”

Starting Monday (Aug. 6), Ella is to launch her first headlining tour in Dallas. “As I’m about to embark on my first headlining tour, it was important for me to put out new music and really show you how much I love R&B,” she explained.

Ella’s debut album is due this fall.
