Travis Scott's 'ASTROWORLD' Headed for No. 1 Debut

  /  08.05.2018

Business is booming at ASTROWORLD.

Travis Scott’s new album is set to dethrone Drake from the No. 1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200. According to HITS Daily Double, ASTROWORLD was streamed nearly 100 million times on Friday (Aug. 3).

All 17 tracks remain in the top 20 on Apple Music and in the top 25 on Spotify U.S. Meanwhile, 13 of the 17 tracks place in the top 25 on Spotify Global. ASTROWORLD is also the most-downloaded album on iTunes, while the Drake-assisted “Sicko Mode” and “Stargazing” currently occupy the top two spots on Spotify U.S.

The project is expected to move 300-400,000 equivalent album units (45-65,000 traditional) in its first week, besting Drake’s Scorpion, which has remained No. 1 for four consecutive weeks.

Featuring Drake, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Stevie Wonder, and more, ASTROWORLD follows 2016’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. The latter, which was an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks, debuted at No. 1 with 88,000 album equivalent units.
