  /  08.08.2018

Drake is making more history.

The Toronto rapper is the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams across all global streaming platforms, according to a press release from his label Republic Records.

Drake broke the streaming record thanks to his latest album Scorpion, which tops the Billboard 200 for a fifth consecutive week. Additionally, his single “In My Feelings” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth straight week, bringing his total Hot 100 run to 23 weeks in 2018.

Scorpion previously made history as the first album to cross 1 billion streams globally across all streaming platforms in one week.

Drake will celebrate his latest achievement by hitting the road. He and Migos are set to launch the “Aubrey and The Three Amigos Tour” on Aug. 10 in Kansas City.
