Travis Scott Announces AstroWorld Festival

  /  08.10.2018

Travis Scott is bringing AstroWorld back to Houston.

The rapper has announced his inaugural festival, taking place in his hometown on Saturday, Nov. 17. It will be held across the street from the former home of the now-defunct AstroWorld amusement park, which opened in downtown Houston in 1968.

Travis will headline the festival and curate the lineup, which will also feature some of today’s biggest names and up-and-coming artists. A full list of performers will be revealed in the coming weeks.

“Travis, myself and our entire Cactus Jack team couldn’t be more excited to finally reveal our plans for the first-ever Astroworld Festival,” said David Stromberg, Travis Scott’s manager. “Our ultimate goal in launching this Fest is to bring some well-deserved recognition to Travis’ hometown of Houston, the place that has made him both the man and creative artist he is today. H-Town has an incredible rich cultural history, and we look forward to showcasing to residents from Travis’ own backyard and across the globe what makes this city so special.”

Early-bird GA ($89) and VIP (starting at $250) passes are available now. GA and VIP passes will go on sale to the general public on Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. CST.

The announcement arrives on the heels of Travis’ album ASTROWORLD, which is set to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200.
