Young Thug Remixes Elton John's 'Rocket Man'

Young Thug’s remix to Elton John’s “Rocket Man” is finally here.

Two years ago, Young Thug visited John at his home in Atlanta after a meeting between the two stars was set up by Lyor Cohen, the then CEO of Thug’s label 300 Entertainment. From there, John sent Thug an instrumental version of “Rocket Man” and a remix was born.

“It’s all the instrumental, the guitar, piano; and Thug is not rapping, he’s singing,” a source told The FADER. “It’s really ambient and amazing.”

But nothing was heard from until last night when it leaked. On the new version, Thug gets “high as a kite” as he effortlessly floats over the 1972 classic and adds his syrupy raps.
