New Music: Mary J. Blige feat. Nas - 'Thriving'
Hip-hop royalty joins forces as Mary J. Blige and Nas come together on their new collaboration “Thriving.”
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul offers some motivational words on the empowering anthem. “We not just surviving / Yeah, we thriving over here,” she sings before offering some advice: “Hold your crown up to the sky.”
Nasir blesses the track with his regal bars. “I dodged bullets and jail time and kept driving / Stood tall through it all, keep thriving.”
The powerhouses previously collaborated on songs like “Feel Inside” and “Reach Out.” Mary is now working on a new album, her first since 2017’s Strength of a Woman.
But first, Mary and Nas are set to hit the road together this summer on their co-headlining “Royalty Tour” across North America. The 22-city trek kicks off July 11 in West Palm Beach, Fla. before traveling to Atlanta, Houston, Las Vegas, Boston, and more.
