6ix9ine Rejects Witness Protection Program

  /  09.26.2019

6ix9ine won’t be entertaining witness protection.

Despite snitching on his former gang, the embattled rapper reportedly has no plans to enter the witness protection program once he’s released from prison.

During his three-day testimony, Tekashi snitched on his former Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods associates, Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, and identified fellow rappers including Cardi B and Jim Jones as gang members. However, sources close to him tell TMZ that he will forgo witness protection and instead go back to celebrity life.

The 23-year-old could become a target for cooperating with the feds and the Nine Trey Bloods may be gunning for him. Out of fear for his safety, the rainbow-haired rapper would be able to start over and live a life away from the spotlight. According to The New York Times, the government has successfully relocated and protected high-profile witnesses in the past including mobsters and reformed assassins.

Instead, Tekashi has decided to hire around-the-clock security using money he had prior to his arrest. He also plans to go back to making music and hopes to revive his rap career once he’s out.

But it won’t come cheap. He will also have to beef up security for his family members, who fear for their safety after he turned rat for the feds.

6xi9ine was facing a minimum of 47 years in prison, but is expected to receive a reduced sentence in return for his cooperation with prosecutors. He believes he will be released as early as next year.
