Reginae Carter Pays Tribute to Lil Wayne on His Birthday
Lil Wayne turns 37 today.
In celebration of his birthday, fans and friends are honoring the rap legend with tributes on social media. His daughter Reginae Carter took to Instagram to share a slideshow featuring throwback photos of her famous dad. She also penned a heartfelt note to the Young Money boss.
“Happy birthday daddy ! I actually get excited for your birthday because it’s so hard to get you something but I always find the best gifts for you that you use on a regular basis and it makes me so happy!” she began.
She reflected on her close bond with the rapper, who she calls the GOAT. “But anyways … I love you so much father ! Not only are you talented but you’re so intelligent and wise . I love getting advice from you ❤️ keep being great dad !” she added. “If you ever need any reassurance that you are the goat (not just with this music stuff ) with everything ! Pick up your phone and call your daughter & that’s on Period ! I love you daddy ! I can’t wait to see u this week.”
Lil Wayne was 16 when he welcomed Reginae, his first child, with his high school sweetheart Antonia “Toya” Wright.
Reginae has been outspoken on social media when it comes to her father. She defended him after Kodak Black dissed him at a Miami nightclub earlier this year. “You new lil rappers need to start giving props and respect to the Goat. My father don’t bother nobody,” she fired back. “He won’t even react to what was said . This man be in his own world so leave him tf alone.”
