T.I. Takes His Daughter to Gynecologist Every Year to 'Check Her Hymen'
T.I. is under fire for comments about his daughter and her sexual activity.
The rapper says that he goes with his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah Harris, to the gynecologist every year to “check her hymen” and make sure she’s still a virgin.
In an interview with Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham on the “Ladies Like Us” podcast, the father of six revealed that he’s had the “sex talk” with his eldest daughter, Deyjah Harris, whom he shares with singer Ms. Niko.
“Not only have we had the conversation. We have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen,” he said. “Yes, I go with her.”
After her 16th birthday party, he “put a sticky note on the door: ‘Gyno. Tomorrow. 9:30.”
When they go to the appointment and the doctor asks his daughter to sign a release, that’s when T.I. steps in. “I say, Deyjah, they want you to sign this … so we can uh, share information. Do you have, is there anything, is there anything that you would not want me to know? Oh, okay. See, Doc, ain’t no problem.”
The doctor informed T.I. that the hymen can be broken in ways other than sexual penetration including bike riding, horseback riding, and other forms of physical activity. “So I say, ‘Look, Doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports,” he said. “Just check the hymen, please, and give me back my results expeditiously.'”
He claims Deyjah is still a virgin. “I will say, as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact,” he added.
On her 18th birthday in June, T.I. penned a heartfelt note to his daughter. “You’ve stayed solid and grew into an amazing young woman of substance and principle,for that,as a father, I’m extremely proud,” he wrote. “Your future even if uncertain is exceedingly bright & I’m honored to bare witness to your evolution. I love you to no end & will never do anything else for the rest of my life. A lifetime task I’m honored to have.”
T.I.’s comments sparked backlash on social media. Deyjah herself liked several tweets criticizing her father, including one that read: “This is disgusting, possessive and controlling.”

im sorry TIP…i don’t like what you’re doing….you can’t be policing a young girls body. what she chooses to do with it is her choice. hymen or no hymen. she’s a human..what should matter is the wellbeing of your child at the end of the day.
