Jazmine Sullivan Debuts New Single 'Pick Up Your Feelings'
Jazmine Sullivan is flipping the script.
The R&B powerhouse returns with her new single “Pick Up Your Feelings.” Produced by DZL for Glitchwerk Productions, the mid-tempo bop offers another perspective on her relationship as Jazmine kicks her man to the curb and makes no apologies for it.
“I ain’t got the room for extra baggage / So don’t forget to come and pick up your feelings,” she sings. “Don’t leave no pieces / You need to hurry and pick up your feelings.”
Along with the song, Jazmine has also released an acoustic performance video.
“Pick Up Your Feelings” follows August’s “Lost One,” a remorseful ballad about a failed relationship. Both are set to appear on Sullivan’s upcoming album, the follow-up to 2015’s Reality Show, due this winter.
Jazmine is getting into the Christmas spirit with her stirring cover of “The First Noel” for Spotify’s Holiday Singles series. Megan Thee Stallion also sampled Jazmine’s 2010 hit “Holding You Down (Goin’ In Circles)” on her new song “Circles” off her debut album Good News.
