Nick Cannon has been pestered with questions about whether his wife of two years, Mariah Carey, is pregnant with the couple’s first child. He took to Twitter to address the matter directly.
Those expecting the “America’s Got Talent” host to confirm the whispers will be disappointed. “If & when my wife is ready to make ANY announcements about private matters she will do it personally,” he tweeted. “Thanks for being respectful GodBless.”
He also expressed compassion for women who lead their lives in the spotlight, including his famous wife. “My heart goes out to any woman who has to deal with public scrutiny and speculation pertaining to their private life REAL TALK!”
Pregnancy rumors have spread after Mariah pulled out of Tyler Perry’s film For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, citing doctor’s orders. “She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to,” the singer’s rep told UsMagazine.com.
