The Drakeover kicked off on Tuesday with Drake’s in-store appearance at Best Buy in New York’s Union Square. Lines wrapped around the block as eager fans, some crying, waited to meet their idol on his long-awaited album release day.

While he may have shut down Best Buy, the cops shut down Drizzy’s concert at the South Street Seaport that was scheduled to take place later in the evening. “I am so disappointed. To all the devoted fans that came out I wish you could have seen what I had planned! Until next time,” he tweeted.

Walmart Soundcheck has posted videos from Drake’s “Away From Home” tour stop at Club Nokia in Los Angeles last month, where he brought out his Young Money family including Nicki Minaj. MTV is also set to air “Drake: Better Than Good Enough,” a one-hour documentary on the hip-hop sensation, on June 23 at 10 p.m. EST.
