Jay-Z

Jay-Z captured baseball history on camera. The sports enthusiast filmed Yankees player Derek Jeter knocking his 3,000th hit out of the park at New York’s Yankee Stadium. The “Empire State of Mind” rapper was seated near third base and can be heard predicting the moment before it happened.

“I actually called it,” Jay told reporters after the game. “I called it for the wrong side though. I thought he was gonna hit the short porch [in right], but he surprised everyone.”

Jeter becomes the 28th player in major league history to reach the milestone. Watch the historic moment through Jay’s eyes.
